Cuirassiers. becoming in 1788 the 4th Royal Irish regiment of Dragoon Guards.

- 1854 - 1855 At Balaclava, Sebastopol during the Crimean War
- 1882 at Tel el Kibir during the Arab Pasha revolt.
- 1882 - 1884 in Egypt during the fist Sudan Campaign
- 1914 - 1918 Mons, le Cateau, retreat from
Mons, Marne, Aisne Msessines, Ypres, Somme, Cambrai, and Pursuit to Mons during the First World War
Victoria Cross Awards Captain A Carton de Wiart awarded the Victoria Cross at La
Boiselle, France 2
and 3rd of July 1916.
