VICTORIA CROSS  Four members of the regiment have been awarded the Victoria Cross, two during the Second World war, and two during the Falklands war.

Suez Drop, 5th November 1956 by David Pentland  RAF Hastings drop men of 3 PARA battalion on the Egyptian airfield of El Gamil as part of the Airborne element of Operation "Musketeer", (Anglo-French plan to rte-open the Suez Canal after its closure by Egyptian President Nasser). Carried to their target by 18 Valetta's and 9 Hastings of RAF Transport Command, and supported by Air strikes by Fleet Air Arm Sea Venom's and Seahawks they quickly succeeded in securing their objective.

The Kacanick Defile by David Rowlands  5th Airborne Brigade spearhead the KFOR advance into Kosovo, 12th June 1999.

Mobile Patrol in Pristina by David Rowlands  3 Para group during Operation Agricola, Kosovo, 12th June - 1st August 1999. 

 Dawn Descent by David Pentland  A C130 Hercules MK1 from RAF Lynham Transport Wing, delivers a low level Brigade drop of Airbourne forces over Salisbury Plain.

Para Wedge by Scott Kirkwood  Commissioned by 70 Squadron RAF in 1996. Jump by 1st Parachute Battalion with wedged cargo exit and double static line exit by Low Level Parachute onto Copehill Down Drop Zone at last light.

 Operation Barras, 10th September 2000 by David Rowlands  Special Forces Lynx 657 Squadron Army Air Corps and Chinooks from 7 Squadron Royal Air Force in direct fire support to the United Kingdom Special Forces hostage rescue mission in Sierra Leone

Dawn Casevac, 16 Close Support Medical Regiment - Iraq 2003 by Ivan Berryman. To commemorate the first use of Factor VIIa by British Forces.

6th June 1944 (Dakotas) by Ivan Berryman co-signed by a pilot of 271 Squadron As part of Operation Overlord in June 1944, it was necessary to deploy large numbers of troops quickly and accurately to the fields and bridgeheads of Northern France. No aircraft was better suited to dropping paratroopers and their equipment than the ubiquitous Douglas Dakota, these examples being of No.271 Squadron from Down Ampney near Gloucester.Hamminkeln, 6th Airborne Assault over the Rhine, 24th March 1945 by John Sellers
