Princess of Wales Royal
Regiment, The Queen's and Royal Hampshire's is the senior English infantry
regiment of the line and was formed in September 1992 by the amalgamation
of the Royal Hampshire Regiment and the Queens
Regiment. ( The Queen's Regiment, the amalgamation of West Surrey
Regiment, East Surrey, Royal East Kent, Royal West Kent, Royal Sussex and
Middlesex Regiments). The Princess of Wales Royal Regiment is the county
infantry regiment of Surrey, Kent, Sussex, Hampshire, Middlesex, Isle of
Wight and the Channel Islands.

Operation Magpie, Mostar, Bosnia, 18th April 2001. 2nd Battalion the Princess of Waless Royal Regiment and C Squadron, 1st The Queens Dragoon Guards, with Royal Engineers in support, gained entry to the Hercegovacka Bank during the night. They seized funds and evidence proving links between politicians and illegal activities that threatened peace and stability in the region.
